Nestled in the Irish countryside in a beautifully grand old castle, we were delighted to work alongside the amazing girls at IEVENT who created a gorgeously luxurious wedding that coordinated perfectly.
For the flowers we worked slightly differently. Each room of the castle had a different atmosphere, colours and textures so instead of choosing an overall colour palette, we dressed each room to suit it's colours.
The ceremony was in the main hall, a beautifully pale and powdery blue with big windows and the perfect spot for a rambling installation. Using the best of the Irish hedgerows, wild rose, hawthorn and ivy mixed with lilac flowers, hydrangeas, scabious and delphinium framed the bride and groom.
For the wedding breakfast, in the drawing room, an earthy olive with antique oil paintings in gilded frames and an old french chandelier hanging perfectly over the large banquet table. The table was dressed with dusty pink candles and glassware to match, delicately decorated crockery and stone urns filled with seasonal flowers. The colours in here were autumnal; milky Japanese anemone's, muddy pink garden roses, rich wine heuchera leaves and velvety dark brown chocolate cosmos, tied together with dark green sprawling vines and ferns. The very best of autumn.
